BOGANS

Bogans are a often considered the Polystralian equivalent to the North American CHUD, though this is a mischaracterization. Bogans are far less aggressive than CHUDs. They are also fewer in number, primarily because of the CHUDs themselves, whose numbers have spiraled out of control across the globe since GEMINI abandoned their military bases in Cascadia.

Now considered an endangered sub-phyle of human sociology, Bogans are losing ground across their native continent, though they have made some successful counterattacks against CHUD encroachment.

Bogan culture revolves around the veneration of combustion-engine vehicles, with their settlements often being mobile rigs and caravans that raid across the sparse interior of Polystralia.

With the collapse of the Tasmanian Agricultural Combine, Polystralia has been reduced to the city-states of Auckland and Sydney. Their reliance on long stretches of vulnerable power and water infrastructure has lead them to employ the mobile Bogans as defenders, in exchange for clean water and nutritious food.

Unfortunately, the Bogans are losing the fight against the CHUDs, as every loss is doubly-devastating due to highly-efficient CHUD transformation doctrine.
