CHUDS

CHUDS derive their name from 21st century anarchist slang, used primarily to describe stupid, violent, hateful fascists who were usually dupes of even stupider, more violent, more hateful fascists. 

​

The original function of the CHUD was to be a 'freedom fighter' for 'Truemerica' on behalf of corporate oligarchs wedded to the decaying US Military-Industrial-Complex. The modern CHUD is a degenerate mutant manufactured by an unknown phenomenon somewhere deep in the North American heartland.

These manufactured CHUDs then move out into surrounding regions in overwhelming numbers, wherein they create more of themselves through 'transformation rituals' that are little more than tearing off someone's skin and replacing it with a translucent membrane.

A battery of psychological and physical torture, pathogen injection, and electro-shock therapy 'transforms' victims into obedient CHUDs which then repeat the process ad nauseum.

CHUDs were historically kept in check by GEMINI fortifications and orbital countermeasures. As of 2141, GEMINI has declared Earth a lost cause, leaving the survivors of the planet to fend for themselves against this exponentially-expanding threat.
